Starrfire" Return Home Controversial Subjects - Harry Potter Taken from October 2002 Witches Way Newsletter Rant of the week October 9, 2002 Harry Potter…… This uproar over Harry Potter has become so annoyingly ridiculous that I felt the need to Rant on this particular subject. Book Burnings, School Protests……………My Goddess do they actually have nothing better to do with their time. They rant over children reading these books well if I am not mistaken is that not the parents duty to decide what their children should or should not read. These misguided & obviously completely bored Christians that spout off constantly about Harry Potter are just so jealous that this author has real ability to write & publish books that actually sell…. Unlike some other peoples writings. Why don't they take the ridiculous amounts of money they are spending & taking in from people on banning these books and donate it to something worthwhile like feeding the poor or cleaning up our environment. Oh yes, that would not draw any attention to them,,,, I see….hum……. HARRY POTTER IS FICTION YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Harry Potter is of "your devil" than we should just start burning "The Wizard of Oz", "Mary Poppins" "Peter Pan" & every other freaking piece of fairy tale writings…..
