I felt the need for this section because I get very frustrated with some web sites and people that profess to be witches.
There is a rather large web site that has been on the net for many years. I will not state the name of this site but I must say the following as to their constant money begging.
I understand that everyone has financial difficulties but how much does hosting "really" cost. I sent a letter to this particular web site offering them assistance (not money) on how to move their web site from it's current host. Below is the first letter with of course no response. I have been angered by this because it has been going on since November or earlier of last year and they are still asking for money. The Goddess moved within me when I read about this and told me something was wrong, the further I dug the more I saw. Enough is enough, quit taking advantage of Pagans.

I have done web design & sites for several years now, I see your dilemma but also
I honestly do not understand why you do not just move your site to another
server. I saw your hosting fees that were owed and my goddess your monthly
payments must be outrageous. I have my site http://www.witchesway.net
hosted thru Avid Hosting, I only pay $10.00 month and have 100 megs of space.
Along with many other great options. I checked your registration through whois database
and I see that your domain is paid up through May 2002.
This email is only a suggestion but their are as well many options out there for
you to consider, free servers, less expensive domain hosting. Do not let
your hosting company make you believe that you can not transfer your site
because you most definately can. They can not force you to leave a site within their server.
Network Solutions can assist you with that, if that is indeed a problem.
Well sorry to make this so long I understood your dilemma but I did not quite understand
you resolution theroy.

Letter 3 - NO RESPONSE
I have sent several emails to you in early December regarding your situation with The xxxxxx xxxx, my name is Starrfire and I am the owner of The Witches Way http://www.witchesway.net .
I am very disappointed that I recieved no response to my emails. My emails are attached.
I was quite frankly skeptical over the donation situation concerning the xxxxxx xxxx. I know many people have your banner "xxxx xxx xxxx" on their web sites, these people are genuine, caring pagans who believe in your site and that is wonderful, but being a professional web designer and a Business Owner I have to say that your hosting fees seemed a little unrealistic to say the least.
I care about The Pagan Community and since I see that you are still taking money from Pagans I would like to know exactly how many donations you have received regarding your web hosting situation. I also believe you should post the monies you took in on your web site, it would be nice to give credit to all who helped you, i'm sure you would agree!!
I am not saying that I do not believe your cause was worthy but I am saying that I am concerned about The Pagan Community and them being taken advantage of. Your web site appears to be more focused on your donation page than anything else.
Pagans are good hearted people and they will give to other pagans, this I am sure you know. I do not understand why you did not move your site in the beginning, you can move your site for free or a small fee it does not cost hundreds of dollars.....
I do understand that you have had many health problems and I myself have sent you healing energy in hopes it may help you.
I apologize for my bluntness in the next statement but yet I think it needs to be said...
This donation situation is ridiculous and I really do not understand how you can continue to take these people's hard earned money. I sent you emails with no response, nothing.... Do you only answer people who are sending in donations. I gave you NO MONEY but good advice from a business point of view. I suppose that was not worthy in your eyes of a 2 second thank you response. I myself recieve hundreds of emails not for donations but for advice etc... Sometimes it takes me up to a week to answer all of the emails I recieve but I do respond!!! I know that you had posted prior to now that you owed hundreds and hundreds of dollars and quite frankly, web hosting companies will dump your service if they do not receive payment, you had to have neglected paying your hosting fees for many many months (possibly a year/years or better) to have aquired those types of fees, I could have hosted my site for 8 years at what you had posted in fees owed. Something just did not sit well with me about this whole situation, quite frankly. I checked out your web hosting company that you were using and I know their fees, lets put it that way. I also checked your domain registration information as well, your inter nic charges are not due until May 2002.
I understand people have problems and I am sorry for yours, but the solution could have been solved by transferring to a free server, and simply re-directed your domain name, you being on-line as long as you have been, you would have known this, without a doubt!!
If I recieve no reply to this email I will be forced to air this grievance to The Pagan Community as well on my site which recieves approximately 200K hits per month. I know you are well known in the Pagan Community and so am I. I may offend your Pagan Friends but I feel in my heart that what you are doing is WRONG!! I too am a Priestess and this time I will go with my inner feelings on this and my feelings are not good. I am not an un-fair person I follow The Pagan Path and practice The Old Ways. My heart is genuine and with that I carry concern for people, I do not like to see people mis-lead and taken advantage of. Paganism is not about money it is about The Goddess and God.
I expect a response from you this time.
If what you posted on your site is truely genuine than I will apologize but I believe that enough is enough with your money wanting campaign.

Most of the time they are dirty, stupid and sure as hell not Witches. No wonder we can not acclaim the status we deserve with these people as our spokesmen/women.
